Panagiouda – Pamfila – Thermi

Our starting point is the main road of the northern port (Epano Skala). On the route we can admire the castle of Mytilene in the distance, the old breakwater with the name “Koukos”, the statue of the Asia Minor Mother with the small square and the playground.

Continuing along the coast and after passing the industrial zone of the area, we meet the first seaside village of the region, the picturesque Panagiuda. Here we can make a short stop to enjoy a cool drink by the sea. If we follow the road east, we will reach the village of Moria, a short distance from which the Roman aqueduct is located.

Returning again to Panagiuda, we continue our course northwards. Eastwards we end up in the mountainous village of Afalonas with its picturesque little café in the village square, where we can taste authentic Mytilene delicacies. The next village we will meet to the north, moving on the main road, is the village of Pamphila, while a little further west is Skala Pamphila and Pamphila beach.

Then we meet the area of Thermi, which includes three main areas: the Towers of Thermi, Thermi Beach and Thermi Baths.

In Loutropolis Thermi there is the organized beach “Kanoni”, ideal for small children because of its shallow waters.

Heading westwards, the road leads us through lush green olive groves to the Holy Monastery of Agios Rafael.

Returning to the main coastal road, on the left we find the pine-clad area of Agios Georgios and a little further down a wonderful coast, Petalidi.
